Students and teachers on the PTMS Aquaponics team applied their unique knowledge to the National Day of Writing. Participants were given a prompt that described a world on the brink of extinction--- "The year is 2050. As the United Nations predicted, the world is facing drought, famine, and overcrowding. But then, a hero arrives to save the day!"
Students used a special template to write a story of how the Aquaponics Man/Woman saves the day. They had to consider how Aquaponics could solve the problems facing planet Earth in 2050. Participants described how people could use Aquaponics to fix drought, famine, and overcrowding. Then, we used some of the super examples to decorate our Aquaponics Lab!
Even the teachers got excited about the National Day of Writing!
